God's word given.
When Abraham obeyed God and took his son Isaac to sacrifice him to God, and when Abraham left Ur and sojourned the land, living on and not possessing the Promised Land, for Abraham was looking for the City whose foundations were built by God, and knew there was a better inheritance than physical land to come to him, Abraham did all this and more in Faith, and it was attributed to him as Faith.
So what was Abraham towards God? He was obedient and Faithful to God; Abraham seeked to be such to God in all that Abraham did, he feared God as he should, as any good son would have a respectful fear of his Father.
There are those who are called “Seeds of Abraham”, and there is he who is “The seed of Abraham”.
“The Seed of Abraham” is Jesus Christ, Jesus inherits the Earth. Edit--- Let me explain this Jesus inherits the Earth part, that you may further your understanding; It is written that Jesus, having been found worthy, has inherited full Authority over Man; Jesus as the Christ sits on a throne provided to him by God the creator, and Jesus sits at the right hand of God, in the Highest Heaven; Now we read that Jesus will share all that he has inherited from God, with all those who are found worthy, Jesus has a place beside God in the Highest Heaven, this then must tell us that Jesus has an inheritance in that Highest Heaven, this then has to be seen as Number one of his inheritances; we now have to look at what is written of Jesus inheriting the Earth. Jesus the Christ is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, the Saints are also refered to as Kings, then Jesus is the Head Saint, he is the King of the Saints; now with this in place, we need to realise that Jesus has also inherited the Earth in these ways; Jesus is son of man Born of the flesh Man throught the line of King David, and eventually from the seed issue from Joseph, and of the Virgin called Mary, he is born of the Earth, and the Job Jesus has inherited is of the Earth. Now we have that inheritance in place we see that Jesus at this point has inherited the Earth; but we now wait for the return of Jesus the Christ, to this Earth; when Jesus arrives he comes with those Saints who also were once of the Earth, Jesus being the King of these Kings; Jesus now shares this part of his inheritance with the Saints, their job is to bring the wrath of God on the evil people, bring down the evil Governments and set the Earth and it's world into the millenium period, and when the Job is finished 1000yrs later, Jesus will hand all things over to God himself. We can see some of the many crowns that Jesus wears, and the three main parts to Jesus Christ's Inheritance. End.
All those people who are not blood line seed of Abraham, and who come to God through Jesus Christ in obedience and Faith, they are called seed of Abraham, and they are spiritually seed of Abraham.
But look! What do we have to be to be such? We have to be like Abraham was to God, obedient, and our Faith to God wards, the one and only God.
So what then are those who are seed of Abraham? They are faithful true, and Obedient to God.
Some Christian people can be called such.
People Israel, in all walks of life.
There are people who are not obedient to God, so they struggle with God, Israel means “Struggle with God” So those who struggle with God are “Israel”, People Israel, and this also is any Christian who is not Obedient to God through Jesus Christ.
When Jacob was returning to his own land, after having spent 14 years living with his uncle, who’s name was Laban, in his land, and he was yet to meet up with his disinherited brother Esau, well the night before that meeting Jacob had his encounter with the messenger of God.
What took place when that messenger came was to make history, and set the future for us and a nation of people. Jacob fought with the Angel of the Lord our God, this means Jacob fought with God.
The meaning of what Jacob did was that he struggled with God, and was named after that very thing “Israel” and that is what it means, to struggle with God, to fight with God, and that’s what the people did from that time on and do so to day and will tomorrow, or until Jesus Christ returns.
The people Israel put away their idol worship long enough to inherit the land the first time. But it lasted but a short time before they “Struggled with God” again, and became evil.
God scattered them to the far flung corners of the Earth, off the Promised Land they had inherited.
Now the people Israel are not obedient to God on a constant basis and their Faith is lacking, they are not like the spiritual seeds of Abraham at all.
It is written; “Not all who are called Israel are of Israel” and these many Christians share this struggle with God; these ones are therefore called “People Israel” because they “Struggle with God”. These are those who are not obedient to God and therefore have not good Faith.
Seeds of Abraham = Obedient, and Faithful people.
The blood line from Jacob (Israel) a on and off History of Struggles with God.
Those who are called Israel yet are not Israel, disobedient Christians and other peoples.
